On March 8th 2016 everything changed, my grandmother Vera Ramirez passed. I was pulled out of school,  I wasn’t told why our mom was pulling us out but when I saw her face I knew, my grandma had passed. My grandma was in the hospital because of a stroke, and some complications from the stint in her leg. The day before things took a turn for the worse she was getting better, she was moved out of the ICU unit. But later that night, things got worse. After our mom came and got us we all went home and got our stuff straightened out. Than, all 6 of went to Illinois to be with the family.
We visited my grandma quite often as she was only a state away. But, her passing has made me realize that I should call/text my relatives more often, make sure they know that I care. When I thought of the future, I always expected my grandma to be there. I knew she was getting older but I never thought of her passing. This whole experience has made me realize people won't always be there, they will eventually pass. Someone may be in your life one day but they may not be there the next. You should live each day like it's your last as you can't be sure when your time will come.
